BOUNCE! BOUNCE!

On Tuesday my friend Jenny invited Olivia and I to go to Kangaroo Zoo in North Salt Lake. It's a fun place with a bunch of inflatable bouncy toys. We had allot of fun bouncing. It took Olivia a little while to get comfortable with all the big inflatable dinosaurs and scary tiger but she had fun climbing all over the place. We even got her to go down a few slides (we didn't really give her a chance to say no). Poor Jenny had to climb up the ladder with Olivia because I am so uncoordinated I kept falling. Jenny has more energy then I do and she's pregnant. She's awesome I wish I could keep up like she does. It was so much fun to go out and do something different and try to get Olivia to be more daring. When we got home that afternoon Olivia kept saying, "fun mom, fun!" And when her daddy got home she had to tell him that she had fun bouncing. I got a few pictures but it was hard to get any really good shots because the kids were having too much fun.

Down the slide they come!
This was a hit with the kids. The yellow cone blows air and holds the ball up in the air, then you can hit the ball with the bat. The kids couldn't stop fighting over who got the next turn. I was waiting for one of them to get hit in the head with the bat because they didn't really wait to start swingin'. Luckily nobody was hit. Maybe we have future t-ball stars on our hands.

Olivia taking time out from swinging to blow her hair. She thought this was pretty cool.

Better Get Bloggin'

Well I just looked at my blog and realized it's been quite awhile since my last post. We have been doing tons of yard work. It's hard to tell by the looks of our still pathetic looking yard but we have been working hard. Here is a few pictures of our weed infested garden. Yes The weeds are taller then little Olivia. It took Cody an entire Saturday to get them all pulled and the garden ready for planting. Of course we haven't actually planted anything yet but I think that's on the to-do-list this weekend. Hopefully pumpkins and raspberries.

What can I say about my daughter? She has entered the terrible 2 stage of life. There are some days when I think I can't handle another temper tantrum. Then there are days like today. She can always tell when I'm not feeling too happy. It's like she senses it and goes out of her way to make me smile. I pushed her around the house on her bus and she giggled so hard I thought she was going to pass out. When she stopped laughing she jumped into my lap and said, "thanks mom!" If that can't put a smile on my face then there is something wrong. I love her dearly even when she acts like a 2 year old. She grows more everyday I swear. She's starting to sound so much like a little girl. Her new favorite word is "weewacker" (weedwacker) which she says anytime she hears a lawn mower. She also likes to say, "How you doin'?" but before you answer she quickly replies, "Good." I could go on and on and on and on. Being a mom is hard work but what could be more fulfilling?

WHAT'S NEW?!

Well I know all of you out there in blog world (the 2 people that actually read my blog) are probably just anxiously awaiting some new information about the ever so exciting lives of the Turmans. Hmmm I hate to disappoint but nothing is new.

I can't even put into words how happy this warm, beautiful weather makes me feel. I really had a miserable winter and being out working in my weed infested yard makes me smile. Olivia is loving being outside too. She helps me look for bugs and rocks.

My awesome husband got me an early mother's day present Saturday. It's a new bike!! I've been researching and looking for one for a few months. I thought I'd have to wait another year to make a purchase but Cody made it happen. I have now joined the cool cycling club. I've been riding twice now. Nic seems pretty excited he calls me everyday to go on a ride. I didn't get to ride Monday but last night we took a 15 mile ride out west. It was fun although it will take me awhile to get my legs in shape. And it is hard to ride with super skinny Nic. He doesn't understand that people with fat on their bodies can't go 28 mph that easily. But it's good for me to have a trainer pushing me. I want to continue to cycle and get comfortable enough to make some really long rides. I love spending time with my little bro. He is so cool! Last week I was having a bad day and out of nowhere here comes Nic with some ice cream. What a sweetheart! Of course I'd never say that to his face but he knows I love him dearly and I can't wait to go on more adventures with him this summer.
